FLAGSHIP CASE STUDY · V1.3
A laptop becomes the narrator. Every phone becomes a private controller. Imposter Night turns one room and one local Wi-Fi network into a tense social deduction game.
PRIMARY_MODE // ONLINE: LOCALI wanted the energy of a party game without accounts, app stores, or internet dependency. The difficult part was not drawing screens—it was coordinating secret information across many browsers while keeping the host authoritative, recovery predictable, and audio perfectly timed.
Download the complete ZIP on a Windows 10/11 laptop, then extract every file into one folder.
There are two ways: either connect all players' phones to the host Windows laptop's hotspot, or connect the host Windows laptop and all phones to the same router. Internet access is not required.
Run Imposter Arcade Host.exe. If Windows asks, allow access on Private networks so phones can reach the game.
Players scan the QR code shown on the laptop or open its local address. Nothing is installed on their phones.
Test the host audio, select Imposter Night, choose the settings, and start once everyone appears in the lobby.
// HOW IMPOSTER NIGHT WORKS
Players may claim to be the Doctor, but only the private narrator knows who truly holds each role. Action countdowns stay silent on phones so nobody can identify a role by sound.
For 5–15 players, the narrator privately assigns one Impostor and one Doctor. Their identities remain hidden until the game ends.
The Impostor privately chooses one player to eliminate. A gunshot plays only on the host after the choice—not on the role-holder's phone.
The Doctor privately selects exactly one player. The Doctor cannot save everyone, and the Doctor's screen returns to the same neutral state as other players.
After the night result, the host starts a timed discussion. The final ten seconds tick down before time-up and the voting announcement.
Every living player votes privately during a visible three-minute limit. If everyone votes early, the result is announced immediately.
A tied first ballot triggers a revote among the tied candidates. Players who chose Skip on the first ballot do not participate, and Skip is removed.

SECONDARY MODE · STILL EVOLVING
A lighter word-deduction game for 3–15 players. Most players receive related private words while one person must blend in. Random clue turns lead into discussion and private voting.
The first ballot includes Skip; a tie creates a restricted no-Skip revote. Hosts can choose a single session or a multi-round match.
This mode stays secondary while development continues. Imposter Night is the flagship experience.
No. The host and phones only need the same local Wi-Fi router or laptop hotspot. Internet access is unnecessary during play.
No. Only the Windows host receives the ZIP. Players scan the room QR code and use their existing mobile browser.
The host must accept Private-network access so other devices on the room network can reach the local game server. Public-network access is not required.
The game uses reconnect information to restore an active player when possible. Rejoin promptly using the same browser and room address.
Not yet. Phones and Macs may join as browser players, but the current portable host package is built for 64-bit Windows 10/11.
A 64-bit Windows 10/11 laptop, 4 GB RAM or more, a working Wi-Fi adapter, speakers, and roughly 150 MB of free space after extraction.
